Mohammed Nawaz

Mohammed Nawaz is a Marketing & Communications professional with 15 years of expertise in Corporate Communications, Integrated Marketing & Branding across B2C and B2B companies. These include start-ups and also large, legacy companies such as Wipro, Pearson and the Manipal group. He currently heads corporate communications for Uniphore, a start-up that is counted among the top 5 Conversational AI companies in the world and is headquartered in the US. His ability to humanize communications for a deep tech, B2B company is commendable given the success he has garnered.

With over a decade of experience in the IT sector & B2B marketing, he has helmed global leadership roles in Brand Communications, Public Relations, Events & Demand Generation across India, South East Asia and the US. In an acknowledgement of what he has contributed to Uniphore, The Economic Times awarded him the ‘Most Promising Tech Marketer award’ in 2019, for successfully and strategically communicating the Uniphore narrative from India to the world.

Nawaz has been hugely instrumental in driving awareness for Conversational Service Automation as a category and has established the global leadership positioning for Uniphore. His efforts played an integral part through corporate communications when the company looked to raise their series B and series C rounds of funding, earlier.

During his time with Uniphore, Nawaz’s strategy has garnered 500+ in depth pieces of media coverage across geographies and has helped the company gain critical visibility. Nawaz has played a key role in Uniphore winning 10+ awards in the past few years, alongside many industry accolades for Uniphore’s founders.

In his previous role with the Global Corporate Marketing Team at WIPRO, he led strategic marketing and communications for key units of Wipro globally, and led the sports marketing for the Chelsea Football Club partnership, US Open etc.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Communications (specialised in Corp Comm) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India and a BA in Journalism from St Aloysius College, Mangalore, India. He is today, a regular guest speaker at some of the popular mass communications colleges in Bangalore and Mangalore. Nawaz being a linguist enthusiast can speak 7 languages namely English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Beary. He loves traveling and exploring new countries besides his passion for marketing and communications.
